Principal's Message - 6/4/17

Good evening, this is Mr. Kennedy, principal of Forbush High School.

The 2016-17 school year has come to a close, so this will be my final weekly phone message until next fall. I have just a few quick end of the year reminders as we look ahead to this coming week.

2017 Graduation
The Forbush High School Graduation Ceremony for our Class of 2017 is scheduled for this Tuesday. The ceremony will begin at 5pm in Wait Chapel on the campus of Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem.

Seniors, please remember to report to Forbush High School at 8am on Tuesday for the Senior Breakfast. All seniors will then travel by bus to Wait Chapel for practice. All seniors must attend practice in order to participate in Graduation. After practice, Seniors are asked to report back to Wait Chapel at 3:30pm to prepare for the ceremony.

Congratulations Class of 2017!

Report Cards
End of the Year Report Cards will be available for pickup in the office beginning the week of June 12. We are anticipating a slight delay in the return of some exam scores, which is why were will be unable to provide report cards sooner. However, beginning the week of June 12, you are welcome to pick up your child’s report card from the office.

Summer Office Hours
During the summer, all Yadkin County Schools will operate Monday through Thursday each week. The Forbush High School office will be open from 8am to 4pm, Monday through Thursday, throughout the summer.

That is all for this evening. I want to close this evening by thanking all of our students, parents, and community members for a great year. As always, please feel free to call or email me anytime over the summer if you ever have any questions or concerns. Thank you very much for your time this evening. Good night.
