Principal's Message - 4/2/17

Good evening, this is Mr. Kennedy, principal of Forbush High School. I have a few announcements and updates I would like to share with you this evening.

2017 Prom
I want to begin this evening by thanking all of the staff members and students who helped to make our 2017 FHS Prom a huge success again this year. A special thank you goes out to our Prom coordinators, Senora Helton and Mrs. Matthews.

HOSA State Convention
I also want to congratulate our HOSA members and advisor, Mrs. Sloan. Our Forbush HOSA club was recognized at the state convention for their work with various blood drives and vision screenings. The organization was also recognized as a Gold Star Chapter and Mrs. Sloan was recognized as a Gold Star Advisor. Check out our Twitter and Facebook pages for the latest updates from the State HOSA Convention.

There will be a HOSA meeting on Thursday, April 6, in Mrs Sloan’s room in 520E after school. We will have Jamie Dodge from the Yadkin County Rescue Squad as a guest speaker.

Open mats for wrestling will start on Thursday, April 6, at 6:30 pm in the field house. Please see coach Farmer in room 803J for more details. We will meet every Tuesday and Thursday and anyone who is interested in wrestling is invited to attend.

The Forbush Band Golf Tournament will be held at the Yadkin Country Club on May 13. Cost is $200 per team of 4 players. Lunch will begin at noon and play begins at 2:00. Registration forms are available in the office and all proceeds will support the Forbush High School and Middle School Band program.
