Principal's Message - 5/21/17

Good evening, this is Mr. Kennedy, principal of Forbush High School. I have a few announcements and updates I would like to share with you this evening.

Congratulations
The Forbush Band put on an excellent concert last week. Congratulations to all of our band members on a job well done. Also, the Forbush Chorus presented their end-of-the-year concert last week as well. Congratulations to our chorus members and to all of the parents and volunteers who support our Forbush Arts programs.

I want to congratulate all of the seniors who received awards at last Friday’s Awards Ceremony. This was a great ceremony and I thank everyone who helped organize the event, as well as the parents and scholarship donors who were able to attend.

Our men’s and women’s track teams competed in the State Championships last Friday. Several of our athletes finished strong, including Zane Johnson, who brought home a state title in discuss. Congratulations to our baseball team and women’s soccer team for their great seasons. Both teams made it to the 4th round of the state playoffs.

This has been a very successful season for our athletic programs this year. The Falcons captured 8 conference titles, won 3 individual state championships, and took home the WPAC Wells Fargo Cup, which is given to the school with the most successful overall sports program in the conference. Congratulations to all of our student-athletes and coaches on a great year.
