Principal's Message - 11/27/16

Good evening, this is Mr. Kennedy, principal of Forbush High School. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Holiday. I have a few announcements and updates I would like to share with you this evening.

I want to begin this evening by reminding everyone that our Forbush High School Angel Tree is up in the office. If you would like to participate, you may visit the office, select your paper ornament, and shop for a friend in need. Bring the unwrapped gift to Mrs. Gentry in the office and be sure the paper ornament is taped securely to your gift. Students who shop will receive 2 hours of community service and all gifts are due December 6.

Clubs and Organizations
I want to wish congratulations to all of the students who were inducted into the National Honor Society and the Beta Club last week. I also want to wish congratulations to our cheerleading squad who finished in first place in their division at the North Carolina Cheerleading Competition last Saturday.

FCA has partnered with Friends Feeding Friends for this year’s holiday food drive. Each first period class will be collecting canned food items and other nonperishable goods to assist those in need this Holiday season. We will have three collection days: November 30, December 7, and December 14. FCA will provide breakfast to the first period class who has the most items turned in after each of the three collection days. Thank you in advance for supporting this great cause.
