Principal's Message - 5/27/18

Good evening, this is Mr. Kennedy, principal of Forbush High School. I have a few announcements and updates I would like to share with you this evening.

Commencement - Class of 2018
I want to begin this evening by thanking all of our students, teachers, staff, and parents for making this another great school year at Forbush High School. I am excited to celebrate with our Senior Class of 2018 at Commencement on Wednesday. Our 2018 Commencement Ceremony will be held at Wait Chapel on the campus of Wake Forest University this Wednesday, May 30, beginning at 5pm.

Memorial Day
As a reminder, tomorrow is Memorial Day and Forbush High School will be closed. Our office will reopen on Tuesday, May 29 at 8am.

Board of Education Student Representative
I want to congratulate junior Riley Warfel, who has been selected to serve as the Forbush student representative on the Yadkin County Board of Education next year. Riley was chosen from a pool of 8 high-quality candidates. Congratulations once again and best of luck in your role as our student representative on the Board of Education.

Medications
Parents and students, please remember that all medications at school need to be picked up by May 31. Any medications not picked up by May 31 will be discarded.

Cafeteria Debt
Students and parents, please be sure all cafeteria debt is paid in full. Unpaid cafeteria debt will roll over into student debt for the following school year.

That is all for this evening. Please be sure to check out our web site and follow us on Twitter and Facebook for daily updates. Thank you for your time this evening, goodnight.
