Principal's Message - 11/11/18

Good evening, this is Mr. Kennedy, principal of Forbush High School. I have a few announcements and updates I would like to share with you this evening.

No School Tomorrow in Observance of Veterans Day
I want to begin this evening by reminding everyone that there will be no school for students or staff tomorrow, Monday, November 12, in observance of Veterans Day. I hope everyone is able to relax and enjoy the day off in remembrance of all the many sacrifices made by our nation’s veterans.

Congratulations
I would like to congratulate our men’s soccer team on a successful season. Our Falcons won 11 matches, including 5 in conference, and qualified for the state playoffs before falling to Forest Hills. Congratulations to our men’s soccer team.

I would also like to congratulate our Competition Cheerleading team on placing second at their Pre-State Competition last week. They will compete in the State Cheerleading Invitation on December 1st in Raleigh. Best of luck to our Cheerleaders!

Finally, I would like to congratulate our Students of the Month for the month of October. Congratulations to Carson Phillips, Avery Durham, Monte Scott, and Emily Post, our October Students of the Month.

Student Services
Students and parents, a representative from UNC-G will be on campus this Wednesday, November 14, to talk about admission requirements and campus life. This event will begin at 9am in the Forbush media center. Students and/or parents, if you would like to attend, please sign up with Mrs. Monroe in the Student Services office.
