Principal's Message - 2/3/19

Good evening, this is Mr. Kennedy, principal of Forbush High School. I have a few announcements and updates I would like to share with you this evening.

Congratulations to our FHS Wrestling Team
I want to begin this evening by congratulating our wrestling team on their recent performance at the conference tournament. The team finished third overall with several wrestlers placing in the top-3 in their respective weight class. Wayne Robichaud, Worth Martin, and Jovanis Pozo finishing third, while Hayden Price finished second. Edwin Pozo, Eli Thomas, and Chase Farmer finished as conference champs. Congratulations to our Forbush Wrestling team.

Forbush High School Hall of Fame
I would like to thank everyone who was able to attend the Induction Ceremony for our Inaugural Class of the Forbush Hall of Fame last Friday. It was great to have the opportunity to honor so many people who have made such a positive impact on Forbush High School over the 50+ year history of our school. The new Hall of Fame plaques can be found in the lobby of A Building for anyone who would like to see them in the future. If you would like to nominate someone for next year’s Hall of Fame class, the nomination process will open in March. Please check out our website at that time for more details.

8th Grade Open House This Tuesday
Current 8th grade students and their parents are invited to attend the Forbush High School "8th Grade Open House" on Tuesday, February 5, from 5pm to 7pm. This will be a floating Open House with department representatives available in the Forbush High School Gym to meet with students and their parents. We will also have two short presentations in Cafeteria One, beginning at 5pm and 6pm. We hope to see you there!
