Principal's Message - 10/22/17

Good evening, this is Mr. Kennedy, principal of Forbush High School. I have a few announcements and updates I would like to share with you this evening.

No School Tomorrow
I want to begin this evening by reminding everyone that there will be no school for students tomorrow, Monday, October 23. Students will return to school on Tuesday, October 24, as we begin the second quarter.

Student Accomplishments
I would like to congratulate some of our students for their recent accomplishments. First, congratulations to our Forbush Band for an excellent concert earlier this week. Looking ahead to this week, Forbush will host a Fall Chorus Concert on Tuesday, October 24th. This concert will be held at 7pm in the FHS Auditorium.

Several of our athletic teams and student-athletes had major accomplishments this week. Congratulations to Forbush golfer Mallory Fobes for winning the 1A/2A Regional and qualifying for the State Tournament, which begins tomorrow in Pinehurst. Congratulations to the Women’s Cross Country team for winning the conference championship and to Anna Kathryn-Kilby and Dakota Mendenhall for winning individual conference titles.

Our Women’s Tennis team finished second in the conference and made the State Playoffs, while our Men’s Soccer team has already clinched the conference title. Finally, our Volleyball team finished second in the conference, qualified for the State Playoffs, and had six athletes named to the All-Conference team, including Mackenzie Fulk, Colby Crater, Ebony Williams, Parkley Hennings, Camryn Doub, and Cathryn Prim.
