Principal's Message - 10/8/17

Good evening, this is Mr. Kennedy, principal of Forbush High School. I have a few announcements and updates I would like to share with you this evening.

Early Dismissal on Wednesday
I want to begin this evening by reminding everyone that this Wednesday, October 11 is an early dismissal day. All students will be dismissed at noon.

Student and Club Accomplishments
HOSA would like to thank everyone for their help and participation in this year’s Blood Drive. 162 units were collected and each unit can save up to three individuals, for a total of 486 lifesaving transfusions.

Brady Miller was selected to sing in the North Carolina Honors Chorus later this fall. Over 900 students from 90 different schools across the state audition for this opportunity, with only 173 chosen this year. Congratulations to Brady for his selection to this prestigious chorus.

School Counseling Office
Sophomores, are you strong in the areas of science and math and do you want to learning more about a challenging and exciting program? If so, please plan to attend a North Carolina School of Science and Math informational session on October 19. If you would like to attend, sign up in the Counseling Office by October 16.
