Principal's Message - 3/10/19

Good evening, this is Mr. Kennedy, principal of Forbush High School. I have a few announcements and updates I would like to share with you this evening.

Congratulations to our Women's Basketball Team
I would like to begin this evening by congratulating our women’s basketball team on their excellent season. Though our Falcons lost yesterday in the Western Regional Finals, Forbush finished the year with a 27-4 record, advancing to the Final Four for the first time in school history. Our girls also won the conference championship this season for the second year in a row. Also, I want to give a shout out to all the students, parents, staff, and community members who traveled to Hickory yesterday to cheer on our team. It was amazing to see so many Forbush fans in attendance supporting our Falcons! Once again, congratulations to our women’s basketball team on your historic season!

ACT this Tuesday
This Tuesday, March 12, all Juniors will be taking the ACT. All Juniors are reminded to report to their testing location as soon as the bell rings to start the school day. Juniors, don’t forget, ACT information and prep activities can be found on our school website under the “Students” tab. For all students not taking the ACT, Tuesday, March 12 will be a regular school day with a normal bell schedule.

End of Third Quarter this Thursday - No School Friday
Students and parents, this is a reminder that this Thursday, March 14 marks the end of the quarter. Students, please be sure to speak with your teacher tomorrow regarding any missing assignments, as teachers will be finalizing grades for the quarter by the end of this week. Also, be reminded that there will be no school for students on Friday, March 15. Classes will resume on Monday, March 18.
