Principal's Message - 2/19/17

Good evening, this is Mr. Kennedy, principal of Forbush High School. I have a few announcements and updates I would like to share with you this evening.

Winter Athletics
With the winter sports season winding down, I want to congratulate several of our student-athletes. Two of our wrestlers competed at the State Wrestling tournament this past week. Edwin Alvarenga finished third in the 120-pound classification and Caleb Price finished fourth in the 113-pound classification.

Congratulations to our men’s and women’s swimming team on another great season. Several athletes competed in the state championship, including Jamie Beamguard, Suzie Beamguard, Sarah Hayden, Gina Myers, Sierra Winters, and Samantha Wooten. Also, the women’s swimming team won their third straight conference title this year.

Congratulations to our competition cheerleading team for finishing second in the UCA World Championships and for reaching the semifinals in Nationals.

For all of our FHS student athletes, we are proud of your accomplishments and for representing Forbush High School so well!

One final announcement this evening: Our girls basketball team will play at home in the first round of the state playoffs on Tuesday. Come on out and support our Lady Falcons on Tuesday evening.

That is all for today. Thank you very much for your time this evening. Good night.
