Principal's Message - 11/10/19

Good evening, this is Dr. Kennedy, principal of Forbush High School. I hope everyone has had a relaxing weekend. I have a few announcements and updates I would like to share with you this evening.

Student Accomplishments
Thank you to all the students and staff who participated in the HOSA Band-Aids for Brenner’s project. Congratulations to Mrs. Funk’s first period class, which donated over 2,300 Band-Aids! As a school, we donated over 5,200 Band-Aids to Brenner’s for kids in need.

Congratulations to our men’s soccer team on another great season. Though our Falcons were knocked out of the playoffs last week, Forbush finished with a 16-8-1 record on the year, ending the season in third place in the conference.

Congratulations to our JV football team on another successful season. Our Falcons finished 8-2 on the year and won a share of the conference title. This is the second straight year our JV football team has finished atop the conference. Congratulations Falcons!

No School Tomorrow
Students and parents, this is a reminder that there will be no school tomorrow for students or staff in observance of Veterans Day. Classes will resume on Tuesday, November 12.

Order Forms for Mr. Senter
If you have chicken pie order forms for Mr. Senter, these forms are due back to him by this Wednesday, November 13.

Driver Education
The next Driver Education class is scheduled for November 18 through December 4. The class will be held after school from 3:15 to 6:15 in the Forbush media center. Students must be born on or before September 7, 2005 in order to take the course. No registration is necessary; please attend every session, pay the $65 class fee, and bring a notebook and pen to the class.

Forbush Theatre
The Forbush Theatre department presents The Little Mermaid Jr, with performances on November 22 and 23 at 7pm in the auditorium. Please see Mrs. Campbell for more information about purchasing tickets.

Senior Page for the Yearbook
Seniors, it's time to think about your Senior Page for the Yearbook. Go to the Forbush High School Website and click on the Yearbook Page under the Student Tab for all the information. Ads are due December 20.

That is all for this evening. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me anytime. As a reminder, please be sure to follow us on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram to stay up-to-date on everything happening at Forbush High School. Thank you for your time this evening, goodnight.
